The PGA of America has announced that the 2021 PGA Championship will be contested with a limited number of spectators on-site, May 17-23, at The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island (S.C.) Golf Resort. The decision to play with a spectator capacity of approximately 10,000 per day was made in coordination with the state of South Carolina, MUSC Health (the official medical services provider of the 2021 PGA Championship) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Since the 2021 PGA Championship had previously sold out, the PGA of America will notify ticket holders of their order status via email. The limited number of tickets will be allocated based on a combination of factors, including the purchaser's original registration group, time of purchase and daily inventory available.
Those who are not provided an opportunity to retain their ticket order or elect to forfeit their opportunity will receive a full refund.
Individuals or groups who purchased tickets from a secondary market platform other than pgachampionship.com or PRIMESPORT should contact that site directly. The PGA of America will be unable to process refunds for those tickets.
Developed in concert with state public health authorities, all stakeholders are encouraged to review the PGA Championship's Commitment to Health to learn more about the Championship’s extensive health and wellness measures.
A. Yes. Face coverings are required for all spectators, staff and volunteers (ages 2 and up), including those who have received a COVID-19 vaccine. Please bring your own face coverings and wear them at all times, except when actively eating or drinking. You may remove your face covering while actively eating or drinking, but you must be stationary, remain 30 feet from the rope line, and maintain appropriate social distancing.
Per CDC guidelines, a face shield is not an appropriate substitute for a face covering. Face coverings should fit snugly around the sides of the face and cover the nose, mouth, and chin.

A. The PGA of America will be unable to extend its standard junior admission policy that provides complimentary access for juniors ages 17 & under with a ticketed adult in 2021 due to spectator limitations. Spectators of all ages are still permitted to attend the event but must hold a valid ticket. The PGA of America continues its commitment to growing the game of golf through PGA Jr. League, the flagship youth pillar program of PGA REACH and we look forward to reinstating the complimentary policy at future Championships.
A. The PGA of America has a time-honored tradition of offering complimentary daily grounds passes to qualifying military members. Unfortunately, due to spectator limitations, the PGA will not be able to honor this commitment in 2021. The PGA of America will continue to support PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere), the flagship military program of PGA REACH. We look forward to reinstating the complimentary policy at future events.
A. We still plan to welcome all PGA Professionals onsite with complimentary access for themselves and one (1) guest at the 2021 PGA Championship. PGA of America Members, Associates and PGA Golf Management University Students should monitor PGA.org for future updates.
