Featured groups have been released for the 105th PGA Championship this week at Oak Hill Country Club and four of the marquee groups will be playing consecutively Thursday morning in Rochester.

World No. 1 Jon Rahm is in the PGA’s traditional grouping of the three previous major championship winners. Rahm, the Masters champ, will play with reigning U.S. Open champion Matthew Fitzpatrick and Open Championship winner Cameron Smith. The trio will go off the 10th tee Thursday at 8:33 a.m. Their second-round time is at 1:58 p.m. on Friday.

Teeing off right at 8 a.m. is world No. 2 Scottie Scheffler, winner of two PGA TOUR events this year, including The Players Championship. He is with two-time PGA champion Brooks Koepka (2018, 2019) and Gary Woodland.

Behind them, at 8:11 a.m., is another heavyweight pairing with three PGA champions who have won a combined five PGA titles. World No. 3 Rory McIlroy, PGA champion in 2012 and 2014, is paired with reigning PGA champion Justin Thomas, also a winner in 2017, and Collin Morikawa, the winner of the 2020 PGA Championship at Harding Park.

Jordan Spieth, Shane Lowry and Viktor Hovland will play in the next grouping at 8:22 a.m. Spieth, is a three-time major champion, but only needs the PGA Championship to collect the career Grand Slam. He finished second in the 2015 PGA, the year he won both the Masters and the U.S. Open.
