Justin Thomas hosted the Champions Dinner Tuesday at Oak Hill after winning last year’s championship over Will Zalatoris in a three-hole playoff.

The 2022 champion made an appearance last week on Smylie Kaufman’s podcast “The Smylie Show” and took much delight in sharing the menu items for the evening. The restaurant providing Tuesday night’s nourishment came from Rao’s, an exclusive New York Italian restaurant founded in 1896 in East Harlem.

The dinner consisted of a seafood salad, house salad and baked clams for an appetizer. The main course items were made up of Rao’s meatballs, penne vodka, pork chop, Uncle Vincent’s lemon chicken and a steak. To top it off, dessert featured Rao’s famous New York style cheesecake and mixed berries.

Those in attendance included Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, Jason Day, Brooks Koepka, Phil Mickelson, Keegan Bradley, Jimmy Walker, Padraig Harrington, Rich Beem, Jeff Sluman, Mark Brooks, Shaun Micheel and Y.E. Yang.

Only five golfers in history have won at least three PGA Championships. Keopka, McIlroy, Mickelson or Thomas could join that exclusive list with a victory on Sunday.

Thomas, McIlroy and Morikawa will be seeing plenty of each other this week as they are also in the same group scheduled to tee off the opening round together at 8:11 a.m. EST.
