The excitement for the 2021 PGA Championship at Kiawah Island’s Ocean Course is building and with the Championship teeing off on Thursday morning, starting times have been released for the first two rounds.
Defending PGA Champion Collin Morikawa will tee off alongside 2020 U.S. Open Champion Bryson DeChambeau and 2021 Masters Champion Hideki Matsuyama at 8:44 a.m. off the 10th tee in Round 1 on Thursday and at 2:09 p.m. off the first tee for Round 2 on Friday.
Rory McIlroy, winner of the PGA Championship twice including 2012 when it was last played at Kiawah Island, is paired with fellow PGA Champions Justin Thomas (2017) and Brooks Koepka (2018, 2019) for the first two rounds. That trio tees off the 10th Thursday at 8:33 a.m. and off the first at 1:58 p.m. on Friday.
England’s Lee Westwood is paired with young guns Viktor Hovland of Norway and Xander Schauffele. They tee off at 8:22 a.m. off the10th tee on Thursday and will go off the first at 1:58 p.m. on Friday.
Three PGA Champions – Phil Mickelson (2005), Jason Day (2015) and Padraig Harrington (2007, 2008) – will go off together at 1:14 p.m. from the first tee on Thursday (7:49 a.m. on the 10th Friday) just in front of Tommy Fleetwood, Jon Rahm and Patrick Reed (1:25, first tee Thursday: 8 a.m., 10th tee Friday).
Webb Simpson, Will Zalatoris and Jordan Spieth – the only player who can complete a career grand slam this week – tee off together on the first tee Thursday at 1:58 p.m. (8:33 a.m. off No. 10 on Friday).
