For six years, Tom Smith, prepared to bring the PGA Championship to TPC Harding Park. As the course’s General Manager, he prepared for every possible scenario, and then some, when it came time to circumnavigate the challenges that came with a postponement due to COVID-19. What he certainly didn’t anticipate was getting the opportunity to actually play in the PGA Championship. During the third and final rounds Smith played as a marker with an odd number of players who made the cut to the weekend. Saturday, he played alongside Mackenzie Hughes and on Sunday with Sung Kang.
