Grew up playing Canebrake Club in Athens, Alabama (just outside his longtime hometown of Ardmore, Alabama). At the age of 14, he won the 2012 Canebrake Club Championship. Hodges remembers how, at the time, he thought the club title would be the highlight of his career.
In August 2024, became a co-owner of Canebrake Club, the golf course he grew up playing in his formative years.
Born in Huntsville, Alabama but grew up in nearby Ardmore, a small town roughly 25 miles northwest of Huntsville. The road through the middle of town is called Main Street, which is actually the state line between Tennessee and Alabama. There's a mayor of Ardmore, Tennessee, and a mayor of Ardmore, Alabama (Hodges' step-grandfather previously served as the mayor of Ardmore, Alabama)
His earliest golf memory is playing with his dad.
