Items to Leave at Home

Items to Bring from Home

Here are a few items we recommend you bring from home to enhance your Championship experience:

  • Jacket and/or layered outerwear piece
  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • One (1) unopened bottle of water
  • Portable phone charger
  • Personal sunscreen
  • Nursing mothers may bring necessary equipment on-site. Storage and refrigeration are available at First Aid Stations.

The following items are also permitted on-site:

  • Small bags
  • Diaper bags and strollers
  • Umbrellas
  • Cameras (Monday - Wednesday, May 15 - 17 ONLY)

Entering the Championship Grounds at Oak Hill

Regardless of entrance location, all spectators must enter the grounds through the scan gate corresponding with their ticket type.

  • Beginning Opening Day, May 15, all Championship+ Ticket holders arriving through the Main Spectator or Kilbourn Entrance are required to enter the grounds through designated lanes. Upon entry, your mobile ticket will be scanned and you will receive a daily Championship+ wristband that becomes your means to redeem entree, snack, and non-alcoholic beverage items at all on-course concession venues.
  • All Club PGA and PGA Premier Hospitality Ticket holders arriving through the Main Spectator or Kilbourn Entrance are required to enter the grounds through designated lanes. Upon entry, your mobile ticket will be scanned. Wristbands for Club PGA and PGA Premier Hospitality Ticket holders will be provided upon entry to their respective venues.
  • All Hill of Fame Experience Ticket holders, Championship Volunteers, and other credential holders are required to enter the grounds through designated lanes at the Kilbourn Entrance.

Inclement Weather

Please observe the Leader Boards and Video Boards for the Weather Warning signs which will appear when inclement weather is approaching the course. When the signs appear, spectators are advised to take precautions and seek shelter prior to play being suspended. If the sirens sound, seek shelter immediately.

In the event of inclement weather, please remember to avoid the following:

  • Tall and/or Isolated Trees
  • Hilltops and High Places
  • Metal Fences
  • Telephone Poles
  • Open Fields
  • Golf Carts
  • Bodies of Water

Grandstands

Several grandstands are located throughout the grounds at Oak Hill. All public grandstand seating is first-come, first-served.

First Aid Stations

First-Aid stations are staffed by medical professionals from Rochester Regional Health U of R. These stations are located near Kilbourn Entrance, near Hole 9 Green, and near Hole 16 Fairway. A dedicated Women’s Health Station for nursing mothers will be at the Kilbourn Entrance First-Aid station. Storage and refrigeration available.. Nursing mothers are permitted to bring necessary equipment to the Championship.

Accessibility Services (ADA)

The PGA Championship is a fully accessible event, dedicated to continually improving our efforts to ensure that everyone has access to all Championship amenities.

Complimentary Wi-Fi

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available at several locations throughout the Championship grounds. Keep an eye out for Wi-Fi signs during your visit and make sure to download the PGA Championship On-Site Guide and App!

Portable Phone Charging

Portable phone chargers are available for rent near the Main Entrance, near the Kilbourn Entrance, near Hole 11 Green Market, and near Hole 18 Fairway Market. On behalf of Chase Sapphire card members will receive complimentary charger rentals with the use of their Chase Sapphire Preferred or Reserve cards.

Methods of Payment

The following methods of payment are accepted onsite at the PGA Championship, identified by location. All on-site transactions will be cashless. No cash or checks will be accepted.

  • Market Concession and Bars: American Express, MasterCard, VISA, Discover Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay

Accommodations & the Surrounding Area

PGA Public Parking (GP1)

West of Oak Hill Country Club, PGA Public Parking is complimentary and located at Monroe Community College (1000 E Henrietta Rd, Rochester, NY 14623).

As you approach Monroe Community College (Brighton Campus), please follow signage and traffic control to PGA Public Parking (Lot GP 1). Complimentary shuttle service is provided to and from the Main Spectator Entrance at Oak Hill Country Club. There is no public parking at Oak Hill Country Club during Championship Week.

Note: There is no overnight parking in any PGA Public Parking Lots. Vehicles left overnight will be towed at the owner's expense. PGA Tournament Corporation is not responsible for damage to your vehicle, or items lost or stolen from your vehicle.

PGA Public Parking (GP2)

Northwest of Oak Hill Country Club, PGA Public Parking will be complimentary and located at Rochester Technology Park (789 Elmgrove Rd, Rochester, NY 14624).

As you approach the Technology Park, please follow signage and traffic control to PGA Public Parking (Lot GP 2). Complimentary shuttle service is provided to and from the Main Spectator Entrance at Oak Hill Country Club. There is no public parking at Oak Hill Country Club during Championship Week.

Lot GP 1 and GP 2 are open Monday, May 15 - Sunday, May 21, 2023.

Please note that during Championship Rounds, Thursday - Sunday, Lot GP 1 at Monroe Community College may fill to capacity. Please monitor PGA Championship social channels (@pgachampionship) and the On-Site Guide for the latest updates. In this scenario, spectators will be directed to Lot GP 2 at Rochester Technology Park (789 Elmgrove Rd, Rochester, NY 14624).

Rideshare & Spectator Drop-N-Go

Spectators electing to utilize UBER, Lyft, or other rideshare services must be picked up and dropped off at the PGA Championship's Official Rideshare Lanes located on Maywood Avenue and Ellingwood Drive (specific drop off location). For an efficient Rideshare experience, simply enter “2023 PGA Championship” as the destination in your Rideshare app of choice and your driver will take you to the designated Rideshare lot. Spectators utilizing rideshare will enter and exit the Championship grounds through the Kilbourn Entrance, a five minute walk from the Official Rideshare Lanes.

Note: No street parking allowed. Any parked vehicles left driverless within the Kilbourn Neighborhood are subject to towing at owner's expense courtesy of the Town of Pittsford, Monroe County Sheriff's, or the PGA. Vehicle owner operators are encouraged not to leave their vehicle parked and/or unoccupied.

Volunteer Parking (Lot V)

Official Championship Volunteers with a valid parking pass may park in Lot V located at Rochester Institute of Technology (1 Lomb Memorial Drive, Rochester, NY 14623).

As you approach RIT campus, please follow signage and traffic control to Lot V. Complimentary shuttle service will be provided to and from the Kilbourn Entrance at Oak Hill Country Club. There will be no public parking at Oak Hill Country Club during Championship Week.

Note: Neither the PGA Tournament Corporation nor the Rochester Institute of Technology is responsible for any damage done to your vehicle while parked on the RIT campus, or items that are lost or stolen from your vehicle. The owner accepts all risks related to the use of any parking lot authorized by this tag. Any vehicles left overnight will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Walk or Bike

Spectators who live within walking distance of Oak Hill Country Club, may enter and exit the Championship grounds through the Kilbourn Entrance.

Bike racks will only be available at the Kilbourn Entrance.

Note: All spectator drop-off and pick-up should occur at the Rideshare Lot located at Oak Hill Country Club. There will be no daily readmission to the Championship grounds. If you leave the grounds, you must have an unscanned ticket to return to the Championship

Accessible Parking (Lot ADA)

Designated accessible parking for those requiring lift-equipped transportation to the course will be available at 3750 Monroe Avenue, Rochester, NY 14534. You will need a verified Disabled Person Parking placard, permit, or license plate to enter this parking lot. The person to whom the placard or plate is issued must be present in the vehicle, as a driver or passenger.

Please note that it’s against the law to park in an accessible parking space without the required ADA credentials or to fraudulently use someone else's in order to gain access to ADA parking spots.

The front rows of PGA General Public Parking lots will also be reserved for spectators not requiring lift-equipped transportation but who have a Disabled Person Parking placard, permit, or license plate for their vehicles. Wheelchairs will not be available for rent, but spectators may bring wheelchairs with them to the Championship.

Wanamaker Trophy Presentation

The Wanamaker Trophy Presentation Ceremony will take place on the 18th Green immediately following the end of play on Sunday, May 21.

In the event of a tie for first place after 72 holes, there will be a three-hole aggregate score play-off on Holes 14, 15, and 18. If still tied, there will be a hole-by-hole play-off starting on Hole 18 and if still tied, Holes 14, 15, and 18 repeated. The Wanamaker Trophy Presentation Ceremony will occur immediately following the play-off.

Admissions, Conduct, and Health & Wellness Policies

Admission Policy

There is no daily readmission to the Championship grounds. If you leave the grounds, you must have an unscanned ticket to return to the Championship. Once your ticket has been scanned, it will no longer provide admission. The only exception is when the Weather Warning signs have been posted. Security personnel will not allow admission to the PGA Championship for individuals without appropriate credentials.

Junior Admission Policy

As part of the Championship's mission to grow interest and participation in the game of golf, juniors 17 years of age and younger are admitted into the Championship grounds for free when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Each ticketed adult is permitted four junior grounds admissions per day at no additional charge. Junior tickets may be picked up on-site at the Admissions Office located at the Kilbourn Gate and Main Spectator Entrances on the day of admission.

Junior tickets cannot be obtained in advance and will be available regardless of a sell-out. Please note, junior tickets do not gain access into private hospitality areas or clubs and do not receive access to the Championship+ Food & Non-Alcoholic Beverage Program.

Children under the age of 2 do not require an admission ticket to enter the Championship.

Military Admission Policy

To honor the men and women who serve our country in the Armed Forces, the Championship is pleased to offer Active Duty, Retirees*, Reserve, National Guard, and their accompanying guest (limit one) complimentary daily grounds access to the Championship.

Photo & Autograph Policy

Cameras are only allowed on-site during Practice Rounds, Monday through Wednesday, and are not permitted on-site during Championship Rounds, Thursday through Sunday. Please consult the Mobile Device Policy for guidelines regarding mobile device photo, audio, and video capturing while on-site.

We recommended limiting autograph requests to areas around the practice range and putting green during Practice Rounds only, Monday - Wednesday.

Mobile Device Policy

Mobile devices must be kept in Silent Mode Setting at all times at the PGA Championship:

  • Set your device to silent or vibrate, including but not limited to, ringer, notifications, and alerts. 
  • Camera flash turned off.
  • Incoming and outgoing calls may only be made or received farther than 100 yards away from competition. 
  • Text, email, social posting, and other data use is allowed on the golf course at any location providing players are not in position and about to play their shots. 
  • Mobile device photography, as well as audio and video capturing, is allowed in all areas during Practice Rounds (Monday-Wednesday). 
  • During Championship Rounds (Thursday-Sunday), photography, audio, and video recording is prohibited anywhere within 100 yards of competition or when requested by players, caddies, marshalls, volunteers, security, or Championship staff and officials.

Alcohol Policy

All guests at the PGA Championship are asked to drink responsibly and be respectful of players and other members of the gallery. Spectators appearing under the age of 30 will be asked for identification before being allowed to purchase alcoholic beverages on-site.

The following documents are acceptable forms of identification at the PGA Championship:

  • Current, valid United States or Canadian Driver's License 
  • Current, valid Military ID w/photo 
  • Current, valid United States or Canadian ID card w/photo
  • Current, valid Passport 
  • Current, valid Mexican Consular ID card 
  • Current, valid U.S. or Canadian Passport Card w/photo 

Temporary identification papers are not acceptable. There is a 2 alcoholic beverage limit, per person, per identification. Alcohol service will be discontinued at the discretion of management. You must be 21 years of age to purchase an alcoholic beverage.

Smoking Policy

Smoking, to include, but not limited to, cigars, pipes, cigarettes, and e-cigarettes will be prohibited in any permanent or temporary buildings, inclusive of hospitality areas, on patios, decks or raised platforms and grandstands at the PGA Championship. Smoking is permitted on the grounds, 20 feet from any structures listed above.

Conduct Customs and Etiquette

Attendees are requested to display traditional customs of etiquette, decorum, and behavior, and to obey all Championship policies including, but not limited to, those provided on each ticket, all posted signs, and any instructions of Championship Marshals and Officials. Inappropriate behaviors and/or failure to comply with standards/policies may lead to ejection from the Championship and/or cancellation of admission tickets, without refund.

Although cheering and positive gallery responses to great play are encouraged, unsolicited and consistent calls from the gallery toward players and others are prohibited.

  • For the safety of everyone and in keeping with policy established at major sporting events, running is considered to be unacceptable behavior.
  • Please stay behind the gallery ropes and cooperate with instructions given by Championship Marshals. 
  • Please kneel or sit if you are in the front row and remain still throughout each shot.
  • Anyone acting in a manner that is deemed to be abusive, derogatory, rude, or aggressive may be subject to removal from the Championship premises and may be prohibited from returning to the PGA Championship or attending any future PGA of America event.

Health & Wellness Policies & Procedures

The PGA of America encourages attendees of the 2023 PGA Championship to familiarize themselves with and follow the recommendations of the CDC (click here for the CDC’s website regarding COVID-19 prevention actions) and to closely review the policies and procedures below before heading to Oak Hill this May.

  • Be respectful of others and be mindful of your distance to others while at the Championship. 
  • Sanitization and handwashing are encouraged throughout your time on-site and additional sanitation stations will be available throughout the grounds. Spectators are permitted to bring their own hand sanitizer from home. 
  • If you begin to feel ill or have symptoms once on-site, go directly to a First Aid location. Medical professionals will be ready to assist you. 

Note: All policies and procedures to ensure the health and well-being of all stakeholders are subject to change at the PGA's discretion or by recommendation of the CDC, our medical partners, or local and state officials.

Spectator Health Promise

All spectators, staff, and volunteers must agree that they will not attend the Championship if they feel ill or display any of the symptoms of COVID-19 (click here for the CDC’s website regarding COVID-19 symptoms).

By attending the PGA Championship, spectators, staff, and volunteers are acknowledging that they are free of COVID-19 symptoms.

Despite measures to mitigate, elimination of the risk of contracting or transmitting a communicable disease, including, but not limited to, COVID-19, is not currently possible. Therefore, by attending the PGA Championship, all attendees assume the risk and liability for any exposure to COVID-19 and any related loss, liability, or injury at the PGA Championship at all times.
