The 2026 PGA Championship and the PGA of America will celebrate America’s 250th birthday as part of Philadelphia's extensive Semiquincentennial celebration in 2026.
The PGA will celebrate National Armed Forces Day on Saturday, May 16 with a ceremony prior to the Opening Tee Shot of Round 3.
- CBS Sports' Hally Leadbetter will serve as emcee.
- The ceremony will begin with Reveille (how all active duty military start their day), followed by the National Anthem and a Military Flyover.
- Components of the ceremony will be provided by the 78th Army Band, the 99th Readiness Division and the PA Army Air National Guard.
- Additionally, active duty members in Joint Forces (and their families) will be present during the ceremony.
- America250 is providing mini flags to hand out to the first 5,000 attendees, and 1,000 military tickets have been requested for Saturday.
